Research Interests
Prof. Gitti Frey’s research investigates the fundamental structure-property relationships governing organic electronic devices, bridging the gap between physical chemistry, materials processing, and practical device engineering. Her work decodes how the microstructure of organic semiconductor films and blends can be harnessed to direct the performance of solar cells, light-emitting diodes, and transistors. Utilizing a plethora of spectroscopic and microscopic characterization tools, she establishes the design rules for charge transport and generation at organic interfaces. These insights enable the fabrication of high-performance devices and scalable manufacturing protocols for stable, next-generation flexible logic circuits and bio-electronic sensors.
