Laura Waller

Research Interests

Professor Laura Waller develops computational imaging systems that combine optics, algorithms, and machine learning to enable new forms of microscopy and sensing. Her research focuses on designing low-cost, high-performance imaging platforms that can recover 3D structure, phase, and super-resolution information beyond the limits of traditional hardware. By integrating physical models with data-driven methods, her group advances computational microscopy techniques for applications spanning biology, medicine, and scientific discovery.
